Hi, I am new to the fitbit experience. I have just recently purchased a fitbit and I've heard that when you rotate your wrist, the screen comes on. When I rotate my wrist, the screen does not come on. Is there anything I can do to make this work? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! Somehow I had turned my quick view off, so your answer worked perfectly to fix my problem before I whacked myself in the face trying to wake up my Fitbit 🙂

There is a setting on the tracker itself for quick view. Go to the logo, swipe left, go through exercise, fitstar, etc. all the way to the end where it says 'settings.' Tap, scroll down to 'Quick View', tap to turn it on.

latest update would appear to turn off quick view and heart rate monitor. Go to settings and turn them back on. To the fitbit programmers I would say it is very upsetting to do an update and then find things don't work as a result of sloppy programming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t find it in settings? I can’t get it fixed?

Same problem. Bought this device two days ago ... seemed to work fine. Today, after a run the display no longer comes on when I flip my wrist. I do not seem to have the "Quick Display" option in my settings ... very sad.

Thank you!! I was beginning to think my FitBit was defective because I thought that feature was automatic. It's working now!

Turn off the option to wake the screen when you turn your wrist; instead, tap the screen to turn it on:

If you have the Fitbit charge 3 you will need to hold the button on the side for 3 seconds for the quick view options.

Same here. That’s a very beginner programmer error for an update. Even the name of the setting is different.

Hi @HankyPanky, welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂
Thanks for what you've tried to get QuickView to work for you.
To turn Quick View on or off, do the following:
1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard and click the gear icon in the top right corner of the page.
2. Select Settings > Devices. If your account has multiple trackers, make sure the Charge HR is selected. 3. Turn Quick View on or off.
4. Sync your tracker.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else!

Thank you so much, this worked and helped me so much... sometimes my hands are fun so I can't double tap the screen.

The Fitbit Ionic is a bit quirky to fix. Press and hold left button on device. Brings up "Screen Awake." Change from Manual to Auto. "Settings" icon on device only gets you to "Display Awake" where you can adjust the time length the display stays lit. There's nothing under Settings for Screen Awake.
