I purchased the charge 2 last summer. I had wanted one for quite some time. I did my research and picked the charge 2. About 2 months ago my wristband started coming apart around the monitor screen. I am lucky that I didn't lose it. I finally got around to calling fitbit support only to find out that the charge 2 is obsolete and the replacement wristbands are no longer available through fitbit. Had I known that the Charge 2 would be a Charge 3 I would've waited a few months before making my purchase. This is extremely poor customer service on fitbit. These products are fairly costly and therefore should last more than a year.

actually the replacement band FROM Fitbit, was about 9 months ago. Apparently bands are warranted for 45 days only. really sucks

I got a replacement from Amazon and I think it actually seems better than the original and wasn't expensive. Plus there seems to be more variety if you want to try something different.

My Charge 2 has similar problems. The band separates from the watch and will not stay attached. I have gone through several new bands in an attempt to keep using the watch, but each time the band eventually falls off. It even fell off in my sleep and I have nearly lost it a few times. The way the watch attaches to band is an interesting approach, but but not a great design. I think the watch's attachment edge serving to hold the watch band on wears down and once the band starts to fall off, it fails to have a positive grip on the watch. There is no "click" that tells you the watch band and the watch have married together. I'm at a point now where I'm hesitant to wear the watch, because I can't guarantee the band will stay attached. I may have to resort to Super Glue to keep it attached.

@Azkobushi, I found with mine it was the little plastic catch points in the band that gave up. I think they got stressed when I was doing a particular weights move which put more flex on my wrists. I noticed a very slight clicking sound before it broke. I now slack the band off a bit before doing that exercise.

I think it is too late for me for the band to stay attached on its own. If If I can't wear it only to have it fall off when I'm working out, sleeping, or just typing this reply, what's the point? I'll try bonding the watch to the band and hope this fixes the issue.
