Wrong exercise and heart-rate readings-Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday my charge 3 said I had 512 minutes of activity. All I did was run errands and do housework so I'm confident I didn't do over 9 hours of activity. Additionally, the pulse is wrong. As I'm sitting here typing this it says my pulse is 173. I took my actual heart rate monitor and my current pulse is 90. That's a huge difference. I've tried restarting the watch and it didn't work. Any other suggestions would be great.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @chaderopla.

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

There are some factors can affect your heart-rate reading on your Fitbit device. If you haven't done so, please follow these tips to resolve heart-rate tracking issues.

You can delete the activity registered by error. For instructions please visit this article and open the menu "How do I edit or delete an exercise or activity in the Fitbit app?".

To prevent this situation from reoccurring, I would recommend performing a long restart to your Charge 3:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hope this helps.
