brand new Charge 4 - not recording floor and oxygen variation broken

first day I got the Fitbit it recorded 1 stair for me. it hasn't recorded one since, after hiking 300+ feet up a mountain. furthermore when I reviewed my blood oxygen variation it showed some orange spikes and now when I go back and look at the same day there are none.

@bellisornot , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

 

After you setup the Charge 4, did you receive receive the banner in the app to install the Firmware update?

If not, this could be the reason for your situation. 

Please continue using the Charge 4 as usual and sync it at least 1-2 times a day. 

You should receive a banner on the app when the update is ready for you. 
When you get it follow the instructions here: How do I update my Fitbit device?
