Charge 2 fitbit won't sync, and can't find "sync now" option on fitbit app

I have a similar problem - 8 hours after my run, despite synching several times during the day, my morning activity is still not reflected on my dashboard. Everything else is up to date - heart rate, steps, hours , but not activity.

 

This is the second time in the last week this has happened.

Very annoying as I don't know what my runtime was.
