charge 2 not holding charge

After the new update to the app (don't know if it has anything to do with it) my charge 2 went from holding charge for at least a week to not even a day. It has been the last 4 days it will die before the day is over.

My fitbit stopped holding a charge and I called customer service and was told that they cannot replace the battery and I would have to buy a new one.  So I threw the Charge 2 in the trash and bought a Versa but it was so big and heavy on my wrist I sent it back and purchased the Charge 4. I hate it hate it hate it!!! I can't program it for exercise and I can't see the writing on the screen, even with polarized lenses. I loved the fitbit 2 and it never let me down. Now I stuck with a 149.00 piece of crap.  I too will be looking for a different fitbit type wrist watch to meet my needs. Also there help sucks!!!

I called customer support and was told throw it away. I had mine from 2017 and there was no way to replace the battery they said and it was now worthless. I just purchased the Charge 4 and hate it. Looking for a replacement not FitBit however.

They all ready have phased it out! It is worthless at this point because they aren't selling anymore of them and you have to purchase a 3 4 or versa which is a huge thing to have on your wrist!

That's their way of getting you to buy the new one which stinks! I bought
the charge 4. Not happy with it nor how they handle it.

The battery was fine last week on FB2, this week full charge last less than a day. In the bin it goes and try a better brand. Bye.

I am very interested in the resolution for this issue, as it is occurring to me also.  After the recent app update, the device went from needing to be charged every 3 days to not holding a charge for even an hour!

Basically the Fitbit company has us, as all the text companies do in their
power to program our devices as they please! I was told that when your
Fitbit doesn’t hold a charge anymore just throw it away because you cannot
put in a new battery! So it is programmed to lose power after a certain
amount of time and your done! Just buy another one but don’t buy the Charge
4 it sucks!

Hello Guys!

I have the same problem here. My charge 2 went from 5-6 days/charge to only 2-3 hours. Now I am not sure that if it happened after the update as I dropped my Fitbit pretty badly the same day. Hope my query is answered soon.

Mine charge 2 is doing the same thing.  Thursday it said it was fully charged in the morning as I was getting ready for work.  I took it off the charger and put it on my wrist.  When I got to work an hour later the tracker was completely dead and unresponsive.  When I got back home later that night I put it back on the charger over night.  Friday morning when I got up for work I look and again it said it was fully changed.  I took it off the charger and keep an eye on it while getting ready for work.  Not even 30 minutes later it was dead and unresponsive.

I’ve recently noticed a drastic decline in battery power. It charges fine, but suddenly I’m charging my Fitbit daily. Not long ago (weeks? maybe a month?) I was charging it once a week or so. I don’t understand how it can just drop off like this... like someone just flipped a switch. It’s super frustrating! Even though this is my fourth Fitbit device, I think I’m finally ready to switch to another brand. Makes me sad!

I tried the Charge 4 but it was impossible to use! Double click here then
click again and make sure it is connected to the phone each I used it! It
would ask me to turn on the always track me and I put it on only when I use
the device! The charge 2 I bought again and when they deem it no good
anymore, I called programmed for obsolescence so you will need to buy
another one! Frankly I lived the device but I can live without one!
