charge 4 using fitbit pay dies (completely dies black screen cannot be restarted until docking into charging cradle) when battery is below 80%
please do not give unhelpful replies like have you tried recharging/restarting/reinstalling etc advice. or have read this recharging/restarting/reinstalling/using fitbit pay guide?
on indicated 100% battery fitbit pay always works. the complete dying happens when battery is below 80%
why wont u acknowledge the issue and make it a priority to fix. i dont dare to buy a charge 6 when i see that this doesnt seem to be an isolated model issue, happens across models, usually after a firmware update, AND fitbit wont fix it. is fitbit just waiting until this recurring defect is more widely known before making it a priority?
why does it matter? users on transit systems using fitbit pay will usually have to pay 2× the maximum fare just because the device fails. because it is an entry with no exit (cos fitbit dies) and the user exits with the card linked to fitbit pay BUT this card is seen as a seperate card bcos of fitbit pay using a virtual card number. resulting in a transit exit with no entry info. so 2x of the max fare is charged to users.
the same problem as mentioned in charge 5:

and charge 4:

Has been happening with my Charge 4 pretty much since Google took over Fitbit. Originally only happened when I switched from my default card to my third loaded card. Now it won't work at all. Fitbit pin code works, card loads fine but whole system crashes as soon as I put it near the reader. Had Charger for a bit over 2 years and had planned to upgrade to a Versa but as this problem appears endemic across the range, I've decided to to replace it with a Garmin. At least their customer service doesn't send you in circles and never actually answers the problem

another observation for your troubleshooting, just IF you will ever bother to fix this.
on a few occasions battery level aside, press and hold on the charge 4 haptic button and it doesnt prompt for unlock code (before access to the payment card) and shows the payment card screen, presumably ready for NFC scan.
i am not talking about AFTER having unlocked it once and the device had remained on my wrist.
For the overly helpful folks please read again, this (card access screen allowed) is happening on multiple occasions even when device is OFF wrist and/or even when device is on wrist for the first time.
Actual NFC payment tapping in this instance does the same (device dies with no fuctions available until docking into charging station restarts it) as originally reported.
teething issues and bugs can happen but you display an error screen or other "computer says no" indication. device should not completely die on any expected error.
still dont dare to buy a new fitbit.
