my charge 3 is just about a year old. Several days ago it started buzzing to the screenwake/notifications screen on its own frequently throughout the day. Then it got stuck on the smiley face for awhile. It has turned itself off several times and won't come back on unless it is put on the charger and the power button held down for awhile. It usually shows a nearly full battery but there were a couple times where it indicated it was at 1% when it had been charged within the last 24hours. It has also show the white bar across the screen upon awaking a few times too like it was doing an update.
I am not sure what I can or need to do to fix it. I am pretty disappointed that it is having issues after less than or only a year of use.

@Dreamingviolet I would try to restart the device or do a complete factory reset.
If that doesn't work, I'd recommend you reach out to Customer Support for further assistance. Best of luck!

This started happening to my Charge 3 this morning. Its constantly flickering and goes from fully charged to dead in less than 10 minutes when it is off the charger. So crazy.

I contacted customer support about it and they had me do a "battery drain test." Basically turn off several features, fully charge it, and see how long it takes to go dead/unresponsive. Mine did it in under an hour the first time I did it. Did another live chat with results and I now have a replacement coming.

I have a similar problem and today it’s showing a white line on the screen.
I recently posted with the same issues in detail and for some reason my post has been marked As spam and removed
very frustrated

Mine just did this tonight. Which reminded me I had a notification to update the firmware. So got all set up, kept saying couldn't find my device. So took off charger, and it was so hot it could burn you. Then I noticed it had lost time, and was still acting stupid. So thought I'd do a reset. Well, that just seemed to make things worse. Mine is maybe 18 months old, can't remember actual received date. But, for the price, I think I'll go back to my trusty Timex and use step counter. This is my 2nd Fitbit, and hubby even decided he wanted one, but he got the next step up. After reading all the trouble everyone is having, and Fitbit refuses to accept responsibility for all the damaged devices due to this new update, I won't be purchasing another one. I will contact customer service just so I can day I did, and get their standard response, before I contact BBB and other consumer complaint agencies. THAT is how we get them to accept and acknowledge responsibility, and get an acceptable remedy.
