has anyone else had the issue of a cracked face on your charge 2? It's happened twice now. They reluctantly replaced the first one stating that they would be unable to replace it again. This is not an impact crack or heat related but 2 parallel vertical cracks on the face. Seems like a design defect in my limited experience.

I was chatting with a friend at lunch and noticed that their fitbit charger had the same vertical cracks on their Charge2 watch as I did. Does anyone find it odd, that these cracks are right where the charger clamps on?

My daughter's Charge 2 has a crack and I thought that she had cracked it when the band came loose, another major issue. I'm glad to hear she was being careful and others are having the same issues.

I have the two vertical cracks in my FitBit Charge 2 (18 months old) and then it died altogether about 3 days ago. Had been fine and charged the day before then expired. Suggestions for the best way to contact FitBit about this - in the UK? Many thanks

I'm not so sure it's the charger clamp. My crack lined up with the right edge of the LCD display. To me that would make sense since the black border and the display are two different materials. If they are bonded to the face, the different temperature coefficients could be responsible for the cracking.
BTW, I got mine replaced under warranty. Hope it lasts.
Odd thing is that Fitbit had to send two replacements. The first had a battery that wasn't connected. Only worked when connected to the charger. Don't know how that got past their QA. They sent it in a padded envelope which I thought was poor protection for their device. The second replacement came in a box and has been working fine.

My husband's fitbit charge 2 ended up with a crack and the screen bowed upwards today. Will definitely be getting ahold of fitbit for an exchange. His was purchased in August.

I have notciced recently the same crack. It is along the display portion of the face. NOT an impact defect. I had issues with my 2nd and 3rd HR versions. Why a company as big as Fitbit cannot do the research necessarily to address known issues. What I see happening is that the roll out new models and stop production on the old instead of fixing.

Yes, mine has done the same, first crack just over a month ago, and the second one (parallel) just this week. No impacts and no heat stress, just happened on its own... not happy ! Who else has had this happen?

Pretty sure the problem is related to air pressure. I travel a lot and my crack on my fitbit charge 2 appeared just after a flight to Costa Rica. Now, my screen is fading away almost no more display left.

My Charge 2 is just two years old and has had the same display cracks as others here have described. Of course the cracks appeared after the one year warranty expired. It appears that FitBit has minimized the problem by referring to it as only an "issue"... I do not expect them to use the D-word, but it is definitely a problem. We are not talking liability here... just fix the problem.
Meanwhile my Charge 2 appears to be working despite the cracks. When it stops working, I am out of here, and will use another method to track my walking, steps, etc. .
