deleted charge 2 from iphone before deleting from fitbit account

I want to give my charge 2 to a friend and deleted it from my iphone.  I didnt realize I had to delete it from my fitbit dashboard first.  Now, it doesnt even appear in my fitbit dashboard, so I cant delete it.  I also noticed that I am still receiving texts from my iphone to this device?  Is it still connected? And if so, how do I erase it from my dashboard when it doesnt appear?  Thanks for any help with this!

There is no reason to remove a tracker from your account when giving the tracker to someone else, A Fitbit can only be attached to one account at a time and when the friend sets it up it automatically gets removed from the old account. 

The reason this tracker receives your messages is because it is still connected to your phone. Go into the phones Bluetooth and remove the Charge 2
