had in box couple years now Charge 2 won't charge/turn on??? did flash white specs briefly charging

Hi! I've had in the box for couple years unused now Charge 2 won't charge/turn on???   It briefly did flash white specs briefly charging if its even charging/ thats the only "form of life" of it the hours its been charging?  Is it dead even before I've used? Thanks!!

Hi @KAB32  when you first get the Fitbit it usually has a bit of charge in it. Being left to completely die and left alone for a couple of years, the battery may very well be completely dead and not able to revive. Don't keep it on the charger longer than three hours. You can try a restart of the device several times to see if that helps jump start it, but chances are, it's probably not going to make it. People have posted here before that they left their device in a drawer for a year or more and when they tried to set it up, it was dead. Try that restart and let us know what happens.

Hi! It DID end up charging (had to order new charger as other one didn't charge it!) but trying to find simple how tos to set up date/time correctly... I just downloaded the Fitbit app on my phone too.  THanks so much!

@KAB32  your Fitbit will get the time and date from the device you use to sync with. Sync it a few times and it should catch up. After all, it's been sleeping for two years. Fantastic and unexpected news! Thanks for sharing with the community. Never give up!
