Weather can effect floor count.

Try a restart for the other

Do it at least 3 times.

I did actually restart it, but have not climbed any more stairs, will see how it is tomorrow, but the heartrate issue happens very frequently

Thanks for your answer

Hello @willow9512000, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! If you see that your Charge 2 is tracking your heart rate a little bit inaccurate, please review this information:

  • Tighten the band just enough so it isn't slipping around on your wrist. Your tracker needs a solid contact with your arm to reliably track your heart rate. Heart rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. For optimal results, we recommend wearing a Fitbit-branded classic or sport band during exercise.
  • Move the band to a slightly different position on your arm—a little higher or a little lower.
  • If the setting is Auto but your heart rate still isn't appearing, try changing the setting to On. Note that at this setting, the green lights on the back of your tracker flash even when you aren't wearing it. This does not indicate a problem with your tracker.
  • Restart your tracker using the instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Now in regards of the extra floors tracked, if there is an airstream, then the altimeter will detect those changes on the atmospheric pressure as floors, that is why you see that is tracking a little bit extra.

You can learn how your Charge 2 tracks this, in this help article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

Thanks for your help @WendyB!

Let me know how it goes!

seems to be working great now.  wasn't that it wasn't reading my heart rate, it was reading crazy settings when I was walking, like 156.  have another heart rate monitor so I know the Fitbit was incorrect.  but just walked for over an hour and it worked great.  thanks for the solution
