My "resting pulse" is consistently higher than my pulse at rest. How is fitbit doing this calculation? To take an example, my pulse measured by my fitbit when I am resting on the couch this morning was registering between 44 and 47, but my "resting pulse" according to the app is 50. This pattern is pretty much true every day. It seems to me that my actual resting pulse is lower than what the app is calculating.

@dz1234 Fitbit uses all your heart rate data at rest to calculate your RHR. Sitting up, lying down, after a few cups of coffee, everything at rest. This is why your RHR isn't your lowest heart rate of the day.

Hi @dz1234 please see the 3rd FAQ
We don't know the algorithm but do know that the recovery time, while at rest affects this reading.
