My fitbit worked fine with my iphone 5c, then I noticed recently (not quite sure when this happened) that I have stopped receiving text notifications. So I have googled and tried all of the suggestions, such as checking settings, restarting iphone after hard reset, re installing the app etc. it's very frustrating that it is syncing but suddenly unable to pair on bluetooth.

What am I missing?

Is it the phone as a 5C is quite old. It worked during January for certain!

That was one of the things I did check yesterday !  so what solved it today was making the phone “forget “ the Fitbit under the Bluetooth settings, then searching and setting it up again. Hope that helps anyone else who has had the same problem!

Hi jacquigiff,

My Charge 2 works well with my iPhone 5C so I don’t think that is your problem. What I have found is that when charging the device, it is very easy to accidentally turn off notifications if you don’t align the charger clip exactly right.

Try this. While the display is blank, press and hold the side button on the device.  You will see the Notifications screen and it should show On or Off. If it displays Off, quickly release the button and then press again so you see Notification On.  Release the button and you should be good to go.

Hope that helps.

This is great! I have been half-heartedly searching around on the web for a solution to my problem. My problem with not pairing appeared after successfully trying to pair with my work phone (Samsung) - then all of a sudden when I wanted to go back to using my private phone again (which is an iPhone), I couldn't pair it (even if I could sync my Fitbit data manually). I have been troubleshooting for 2 weeks now but this was the final solution. Many thanks!!
