I love the new hourly steps feature, but I have found that the longest stationary period is often incorrect. Today it is telling me that my longest stationary period is from 10.19 - 11.36. I know this is incorrect as I have a rest and stretch program on my work computer which locks me out for 10 minutes every 30 minutes. I go for a little walk every time this occurs. In addition to this my steps graph shows that I have taken steps for each of the 15 minute blocks within that time frame. What is classified as stationary if I have steps within that time frame, but am still 'stationary'?

I completely ignore the longest stationary period, since it's often SO wrong that the Fitbit will record several flights of stairs and HUNDREDS of steps during the time it says is the longest stationary period... Unless I hear that they actually fixed it, I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist.

Quoting the Fitbit Moderator - MarreFitbit: "Note that time asleep is not included in this graph."
I noticed that my longest stationary time for yesterday was from 9:40 PM to 11:27 PM. On the other end, the app also shows that I slept from 10:26 PM to 6:15 AM. So that means Fitbit accounted an hour from my sleep to the longest stationary period.

I stopped looking at the longest stationary time a month or so after it came out, since I gave up on it EVER being right. Often, it picks times when I was running around and (even by the app's recorded steps) got tons of steps, flights of stairs, etc.

Kat, unfortunately for me, I've given up on my Fitbit(s).
While fitbit's customer service is pretty good, I went through 5 Charge HRs in a year. They replaced them ( except the last one, when I gave up on it and didn't bother contacting them).
Am I the only one that is apparently too hard on them?

I' sure you're not. I know many people who have gone through multiple bands, etc. I only had problems with my first one, since it didn't hold a charge and the next 3-4, since they had messed up how the syncing with the phone worked, so it wasn't able to sync properly or show phone numbers when I got calls, which is really important to me. I want the Alta HR, but since you can change bands on the Charge 2 and some of the ones I've found on Amazon are really nice, I think I'm gonna try that and see how it goes. Here's hoping...
Did you try getting a cover for it? They sell bands and covers that seem a lot more durable on Amazon and a bunch of choices on Etsy, too. I hope you found (or find soon) a tracker that works better for you! Good luck!

I think I might try a Garmin!

They look sturdier, but not my style. I like that I can change the bands on the Charge 2 and there's a really cool bracelet-like one my boyfriend found, but I'm waiting for them to add HR & the time. Ha ha ha...

Agreed, it drives me nuts. Almost everyday my longest stationary. Is in the middle of the night when I am trying to get to or go back to sleep. They already have you set bedtime and wake-up goals, it looks like an easy fix to not put the longest stationary. Between those two times.
