low battery notifications no longer being sent

A few weeks ago, I stopped receiving low battery notifications.  I had not changed my settings (I was set to receive both text and email notifications), and I see that others have encountered the same problem.  I wonder whether this is a glitch caused by a recent update.  I have tried unselecting and reselecting the notifications many times and it hasn't helped.  I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue!

Same thing has happened to me.  I am beginning to think Fitbit does this so you get another updated product.  I have the one the alta the charge hr and now this one.  This is my last time for fitbit

This is strange.  All of a sudden it shows fully charged and is working fine again.  I went into site and synced.  Maybe that fixed it.

I wonder whether this has to do with syncing.  If I understand correctly, the device needs to be synced in order for low battery notifications to turn on.  I have All Day Sync turned on, but my device only syncs when I manually open the app.  I have always had All Day Sync turned on and yet my device has never synced unless I open the app, but I used to receive low battery notifications, so I'm not sure what has changed.
