notifications on/off continuously flasing and vibratins

my fitbit has started flashing notifications on/off continuously, this kills the battery very quickly!

I have restarted the fitbit and tried turning notifications on and off in the app, this hasn't worked

please help

When you press and hold the button on the Charge 2 it toggles notifications on / off so it sounds like the button could be stuck in. Try gently freeing it using something like an old toothbrush or a can of compressed air.

Thanks, but the button is not stuck in

when I press and hold the button the fitbit goes back to normal, as soon as I let go it starts to flash again

That's probably a defect button in that case. If you contact customer support they can check your warranty status and advise on your options. You can get them via: contact.fitbit.com
