Same thing happened to my wife's fitbit.Bought it 29Nov for xmas, she started using it in January... so basically 2month of use & the thing breaks.

The straps came off, and then we noticed the little plastic pieces were missing. Found them on the floor.

Went back to sportsmans warehouse to get a replacement, and they said we need to contact fitbit directly.

We're in South Africa, so if we want a replacement we'll have to send it back - will probably never see it again due to our postal service.

Hi, Sometimes Fitbit doesn’t request the device to be returned, but you are correct in assuming that if it has to be returned it may take forever to receive a replacement. From comments on the Forum most replacements did not last long since they are refurbished devices. Contact Support and see what they say.  There are a few other bands on Amazon similar to the one I posted.  I know that they are not fashionable but they do allow you to continue to use your Fitbit.  I always thought highly of Fitbit and the quality of their devices.  They know this device has many major defects and they don’t care about the poor workmanship,  their customer service or their customers. If you decide to take their 50% off another device offer please read the Forum comments on that device so you know what problems you make expect before you decide.  Good luck!

Same thing happened to mine. Contacted support, I sent them a picture, they approved a replacement. Received it in less than 1 week

Where are you based though? Me being in South Africa makes it difficult

I am in the US. Hopefully being a worldwide company your wait won't be too
long. Customer service did make it easy and they were helpful.

Thanks for the product link, I just ordered one. Seems like the best option for this issue.

I agree, at least you can still use your Fitbit.  I was just looking over the latest comments on the Forum and I was floored to see more and more  problems popping on the Charge 4. Any added day that we can get out of it is a plus.  Fitbit should be ashamed to have a device with so many defects as well as their lack of responsibility to their customers. I hope you Charge 4 lives a long life!

My plan is to use the band I found on Amazon in the short run, but Fitbit has lost my business and I'll be switching to an Apple.  They have known for a long time that this is an issue and they should stand behind their products.
