I have had 3 fitbits, and 2 charge 4s.  For each one the band has broken without any exceptional trauma, just taking it on and off.  And by broken, I mean, the plastic on the device breaks so that the band won't connect.  I reached out to Fitbit twice, since my device wasn't within warranty (and I'm not talking 10 years here, more like closer to two).  The best they could offer me was 35% off.  Looking at other posts, this is clearly a design flaw, and one they seem to have had for a while and have no interest in fixing.  When I asked Fitbit if it could do better, they said no.  I also asked them if they were confirming that they don't back their product for more than a year.  I received a paragraph on how they test their products extensively.  So ultimately, no direct answer is a clear answer.  I really like fitbit because review wise, the device is more accurate than most.  However, it's an unwise investment if I'm going to have to spend a ton of money every few years.  The market is now saturated with other products at a much cheaper price point that seem to be just a reliable.  Has anyone had any luck with a different product?
