"Length" of the alarm before snooze

Hi!
I wonder for how long the alarm is supposed to go on before it turns off and goes into snooze mode? My charge 2 repeats the vibration "cycle" three times, a total time of 15 seconds altogether, before it turns off and starts counting down the 9 minutes snooze. Is it meant to be that short? The silent alarm was a big part of why I got it and now it does me absolutely no good, as it takes me way longer than 15 seconds to wake up even slightly...

Hey guys! It is great to see you around the Community!

@BlindsideBeater, there is no bug with the alarm on your Charge 2, it actually lasts 15 seconds and then if you don't do anything to dismiss it, it will take 9 minutes to vibrate again, and as my friend @GreginJaxFL mentioned, there is no adjustment for this.

By the way, the tip that @Iamjennifer posted could work! I'm gonna try it out because sometimes the 15 minute length of the alarm can't wake me up neither.

Hope this clarifies your questions!

There is no adjustment.

I know there's no adjustment, but my question is if it's meant to be like that or if it's a bug in mine. The HRs alarm goes on until you turn it off, no (or very long) time limit...

i also feel the alarm is too short. As it can be set for 8 alarm, set the other one after 2mins. It works fine for me!

I believe there is still a bug with the snooze functionality on the Charge2.

The device is not reverting to a snooze cycle correctly when the alarm is not supressed/cancelled.

@pootle78 Welcome to our Community! Try restarting your tracker by doing the following:

1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

After this deactivate the alarm and sync your tracker, then reactivate it and sync it again.

Let me know how it goes!

I have tried this reseting the tracker, and the alarms per this sequence, but I still have the same issue.

The alarm will not snooze more than once, when not dismissed by either of the described methods (i.e. when it goes off, I do not dismiss by tapping the screen, pressing the button, or taking 50 steps).

I only ever get once snooze cycle, not upto 3 as described.

Hi @pootle78, Remember, if you don't dismiss the alarms using one of the 3 methods, the alarm will last 15 second and will vibrate again after 9 minutes, and this will happen 3 times. However if this is not happening even after trying the suggestion that my friend @AlvaroFitbit mentioned above, it is time to contact Fitbit Support so they can investigate what is going on with your tracker and give you the best option to get you back on track.Robot Very Happy

@HeydyF Ok, after a long chat with online support, and a few contradictions, it was confirmed this isn't a bug as such, but that the alarm will only snooze once, not 3 times. Unfortunately this is not in line what a few of the moderators have been saying ( @DerrickS )

I requested a feature update to improve the usability of this function, as in my opinion, I don't see a reason for the hard limit to only support 1 snooze cycle (aside from trying to cut short my lie-in's 😉 )

It's a shame they decided to change the way this works versus the functionality on the ChargeHR, which had no upper limit that I recall.

I've had a Charge 2 for several years and until recently the silent alarm would continue until it was turned off by pressing and holding the button.  I assume a recent update introduced the "snooze" feature.  I had an early appointment this morning and set a silent alarm for 5:15 AM.  I awoke at 5:21 AM, to discover the new improved "snooze" feature.  Apparently a fifteen second silent alarm is not enough to awaken me.  I'm sure some find this a useful feature, I do not!  How about giving the user some control over features such as this.  The silent alarm WAS the most useful feature of my Charge 2.  Give me an option disable the snooze feature!
