spinning and rowing and elliptical tracking

I would be interested in how members track their spinning and rowing workouts?  I use the bike mode and timing, but is using the bike mode also OK for the rowing machine? Also how does an elliptical workout show up? Thanks

@milliron, welcome to the forum! You can customize the list of shortcuts on your tracker from 20 available options. As a note, rowing is not currently available - you can either use 'workout' option or it will register activity automatically (you can reduce the time to 10+ min. instead of 15+ set by default) as Sport, and then you can manually edit the type of the exercise (i.e. type Rowing instead of Sport). BTW, there's a feature suggestion to add rowing - feel free to vote for it!

How to customize the list of shortcuts on your tracker:

In Fitbit app tap on the Charge 3 icon in the top right corner, scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts - tap on it. There will be 6 shortcuts that are set by default - you need to remove one or few that you don't need in order to add new ones. Swipe to the left to remove shortcuts, then a plus edit button will appear in the top right corner - tap on it. Select new shortcuts from the list and click 'Add to Charge 3'. You can rearrange shortcuts to appear on your tracker in certain order.  Sync to update the list of shortcuts on your tracker.

To track an exercise, swipe to the left on your clock face, tap exercise, swipe to the left again to go through the list of shortcuts. Tap on an exercise you want to track. You can also manage additional settings from Charge 3 (when available): when on a specific exercise, swipe up to see adjustable options. Hope it works for you!

I don't find that the Versa 2 or any of their other trackers effectively register rowing  which is sad because I love rowing but now I tend to stick to exercise that can be recorded better.

Hi.  So I just purchased a Charge 3 (first time fitbit user) and am wondering the same thing.  But i'm reading this a year later.  Has the app changed?  I don't see the icon in the top corner like you describe and can't seem to find a way edit or add exercise shortcuts.
