Did you mean:

superfluous messages coming across my fitbit device display

I would love a way to opt in or out of what messages I receive from fitbit. I detest the idea of being a prisoner to fitbit messages. For one thing, I like being reminded to move because I get busy doing other things but need to remind myself to walk/run with more 'determination' is what I'll call it.

To be clear I have all notifications turned off except the reminder to move on the hour for 8 hours. That's it. Anything else I have zero interest in.

What gets frustrating for me is superfluous messages from fitbit talking about uploading my 'music' when that's not even a feature on my device. I either have to ignore it, or acknowledge it or clear it. Why am I even receiving it at all? How do I turn messages like that off?

Also what is equally annoying is when I am out on a walk and going up a hill, with sun shining down on me (in that I can't see what the message that is being displayed because my device display isn't AMOLED,) and I don't have my reading glasses on, only to have to find a tree for shade and put on my glasses, only to find fitbit reminding me to get my freaking heart rate up! You have no idea how much that sucks! I'm already moving, and puffing away and I get a message to move? Those messages I can live without. Thanks but no thanks.

In closing the ability to turn off notifications that I do NOT want from fitbit coming across my device would be welcome, and I am willing to bank that others may feel the same way.

Before it was tampered with in 'updates' the Charge 3 was one of the most sophisticated devices made by FitBit and was raved reviewed by so many websites - the only thing missing was the AMOLED display. I am very sad that fitbit put it to bed and is merely biding it's time for the device to fail with maybe a little shove/kick/hit from the updates.

Please vote thumbs up if you agree we all need the ability to choose what notifications we receive on our purchased devices; after all we are not renting them; shudders!
