It has not synced since aug 4 - what can i do to get it syncing again

The usual things to try when you get syncing issues are:
If none of those ideas work for you then it’s probably best to contact customer support via: contact.fitbit.com
Note that once you get the syncing issues sorted your data may look a little strange. This is because your fitbit only has enough memory to store up to 7 days of detailed data between syncs. After that it starts to store data at a daily summary level. After 30 days of storing summary data it starts to lose data. So, in your case, some of your data will be summarised.
