syncing on two devices only works when turning off bluetooth on one

My Charge 2 is coupled to two devices, a Samsung phone and an iPad. Whenever I’ve synced with the phone first and would like to sync with the iPad later (think hours), the Charge will not connect. The only way to get the synchronization going is by turning off the bluetooth on the phone. All-Day Sync is turned-off on both devices.

Is this the expected behavior?

@peperazzi   Do you get any Notifications from your Samsung phone?  If your Charge 2 is set to receive notifications from your phone, then there is a tight bluetooth bond with that phone and your tracker.  It will not sync with any other device.  Try turning Notifications Off on the Charge 2 and see if that helps.
