With winter coming on, I've purchased a manual treadmill so as to continue the daily walking I've found so helpful for overall wellness. Unfortunately, my Charge 2 does not appear to track my steps, so they are not added to my totals. I'm assuming it's because I cannot move my arms (without falling off the treadmill!). How does one sync steps on a manual treadmill with your Charge 2? Thanks in advance!

If you put the tracker in a pocket or somehow pinned to your clothing, you will probably get steps tracked better, but will lose heart rate data for that time.

Excellent! It works in my pocket; never even thought of that. I'm more interested in the steps being counted at the moment than the heart rate data. Thank you.

I am wondering the same thing. I started walking on a treadmill this weekend and the fitbit says I did .80 miles but I did 1.4. How can I get it to track it right?

I've been using the pocket method, figuring even if not precise, it's closer than wearing it on the wrist. When wearing pants without a pocket, such as pajamas, I've worn loose socks and put the tracker inside the sock, alongside my ankle, which also tracks. You might compare results from that to results from inside a pocket to see which has better accuracy.
