what does screen wake with picture of lightbulb mean?

If I tap the light bulb, a line appears across it. A second tap makes the line go away.  What is this for? Don't know anything about this icon so don't know if I want the line on or off.

I saw that icon briefly as well and left it alone not knowing what it was for, now I can’t get my screen on without tapping or pressing button and can not find the icon again:/ Where did you find it?

I hold the button down until it comes on. The light bulb is in the top half & the word “notifications” is in the bottom half of screen. I still don’t know what it is for. Really disappointed that Fitbit doesn’t have a decent instruction book , glossary or some way of learning details of the charge 3. I spent hours reading comments in the community help section which is pretty much just complaints/problems other people are having with very little helpful information to resolve problems. Frankly, I don’t see how they stay in business.

When the light bulb is on (no line through it), Your fitbit screen will come on when you turn your wrist in front of your face, like when you look at your watch for the time.  Ok?

It enables the screen so that when your turn your wrist to look at the time, etc.  It will come on..  Otherwise, you have to tap the screen twice to make it come on.

I agree - it's all hit and miss.  How can they not have a manual of some sort ?

You hold the button on the side of your screen down. It also tells you how much charge you have. I hope this helped

After having so many problems with fitbit, I switched to an Apple watch
that is 1000X better. but thanks for taking the time to reply to my old

If you hold the button it will pop up with the battery life on the top and the light bulb on the bottom. If the light bulb doesn't have a slash through it that means that your Fitbit should turn on when twist your wrist towards you. If the light bulb does have a slash through it that means that you will have to press the button or the screen to turn it on

I have Inspire HR and the light bulb picture is found under the battery indicator. And both of them are shown when you press the button on the left side of the screen.
