ADDING INSPIRE TRACKER TO ACCOUNT

Today I deleted my Zip tracker from my account and wanted to add my Inspire tracer to the account. I do have another tracker in that account but all my email addresses have 2 trackers registered and have done for years, but when I went to replace the Zip tracker which I deleted with the Inspire tracker I was asked if I wanted to Swap it with the other tracker. I didn't want to swap so stopped trying to add the Inspire. I suppose now I wont be able to put the Zip tracker back either.

I might add this isn't the first time I've tried to add another tracker to an account and have had to swap one out and wasn't happy but it didn't 'matter the Inspire I dont use much but I feel I should be able to still have 2 trackers on the one email address.

Why is Fitbit now stopping me from adding the other tracker onto the email address when in the past we were allowed to have 2 Fitbits on the one email address?

@Fayph   If your "other" tracker is a newer model that has a Gallery, then this is the reason why you must switch.  From the Help article:  "Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit Gallery to one account."  This includes the Charge 3/4/5, Ionic, Versa series, Inspire series, Sense, and the Luxe.  Your Zip doesn't have a Gallery.  This is why you could have two trackers on your account when one was your Zip.  You should be able to add your Zip back.

I presume a Gallery means more than just counting steps, although all trackers do the same thing x for the earlier ones that is.  The tracker I was trying to add was Inspire, the original one, which means I've wasted money on the last tracker I bought expecting to be able to use all trackers by just adding them to the accounts I have already.

I don't use the same ones all the time. Pity they cant program the accounts to accept other trackers given some perform the same functions it's just another name or style off tracker.
