Active minutes not recording as exercise - Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just upgraded to the Inspire HR from the Inspire, and it’s not tracking my exercise.  I complete a 45 minute strength/cardio workout five days a week. On my watch and in the app, it shows my active minutes, and at the time I’m doing my work out, my watch is recognizing an increased heart rate. But none of them are recording as exercise, and it says that I have zero days of exercise this week.

I’ve logged out of the app, restarted my Fitbit, logged back into the app, and nothing has changed. I do not want to have to manually track my exercise every day. That’s not the point of having a FitBit.

Please help!

I’m having this problem with exercise and with my sleep!
Spoke to 3 separate people on Fitbit live chat and they’ve all fobbed me off with different excuses. Today’s excuse, there is a bug in the system which is why things aren’t recording and effecting some users but they can’t tell me how long until it’s fixed!!

@JFackler10   I don't have an explanation as to why your Inspire HR isn't auto-recognizing anything.  If you do the 45 minute workout all at once, without breaks, it should be recognized as Aerobic Workout.  Or sometimes Sport.  Breaks during a workout might be enough to throw off the auto-recognition.  I recommend that you use the Exercise app on your Inspire HR and choose the Workout option.

It does involve some swiping and tapping, but isn't as arduous as manually tracking.  There is an advantage to using the Exercise app if you have several different workout routines and you want to keep track of them in more detail.  There is a way to give a workout a custom name.

@LZeeW Thank you for the reply. I’ve just never had to manually track before. My Inspire always recorded my active minutes as exercise. One week with the Inspire HR and none of it is being recorded. Frustrating!

@JFackler10   I'm sorry, but it wasn't clear to me that your Inspire always tracked this same workout without a problem.  It makes my explanation sound pretty lame.  I wish I had a better answer for you and @Hopewell5.

I am having this same issue - even when manually tracking my exercise. Just finished a pretty intense workout (logged start/stop manually), heart rate shows over an hour in the cardio zone but no active minutes!?

I have both reset the device and reinstalled the app but apparently no active minutes have recorded for the past week 😞

I came into the community because of this issue. It was recording my boot camps when I first received the device last month, but the last two weeks it has stopped. If you look at my heart rate, I’m in cardio zone the whole time.  But, no exercise recorded. Then later, I go for a twenty minute walk, and that is recorded. So strange.

Exactly the same as me and every time I get in touch to try and sort, I’m given excuse after excuse. Last Sunday I was cut off the chat because I wouldn’t accept yet another excuse.

Exactly the same as me. Four times now I have been in touch and each time there is a different excuse. The one before the last was a bug in the system, which I’ve read you have been told as well. This week I was cut off as I wouldn’t accept the excuse which was to wait for the update! I have also been told to wear on my other wrist. Obviously a huge malfunction which Fitbit will not acknowledge.
