After multiple resets, inspire hr will not consistently track sleep

I have had to reset my inspire HR multiple times since I bought it 30 days ago because I was not getting simplified sleep data. After three resets in a row, it shows simplified sleep data for a few days then reverts back. I never had this issue with my Alta HR and wear it on the same wrist with the same tightness. I’m thinking I need to return this one- seems defective.

Hi @Dink78 I am a little confused! What sleep data are you getting? You should be getting Sleep Stages rather than sleep patterns (which is simplified sleep data). So are you getting the patterns (awake, asleep, restless) or the Stages (awake, REM, light, deep)?

I am only getting simplified sleep data. And am not able to see my sleep patterns. I have attempted to change the sensitivity from normal to sensitive and back again. And was getting sleep patterns for a night this week and am back to simplified data.

@Dink78  I couldnt seem to add anything more beneath the images in my last post so here is the rest of it!

I assume you are seeing Sleep Patterns but want to see Sleep Stages

Have you seen THIS Help Article on Sleep Stages? It does give some information, but I am not sure ifnit will help you. The two possibilities I can think of is you are not wearing the Inspire tight enough for it to get a good reading, or for some reason it is not recording your heart rate as well and consistantly as your Alta HR. This may be your unique phisiology doesnt 'match' the way the Inspire measures your heart rate, or it may be something wrong with the Inspire. Have you tried restarting the Inspire several times? (Woops - just looked back at your original post and you have done this already) Give it another try and see how you go over the next few nights. If you still are not getting sleep stages then please come back here.

I appreciate you trying to help. I have tried resets. At first I would do one reset and wait until the next day, it wouldn’t work so I would try again the next day. I was finally able to get it to track my sleep stages after three resets one right after another. It lasted for a few days and went back to simplified sleep data. When I check my heart rate during the day it is always tracking but when I look at heart rate data from the night it is cutting in and out. Last night, I tightened the Fitbit before bed and it barely tracked my heart rate so I have no sleep data for last night. I think I will try to loosen it tonight and see if that helps. I’m getting close to my 45 day return by date so I need to figure out a solution soon. I have a lot of love for my Fitbit but I think I need to look at other options as this is very frustrating. I’m a data geek, I want it all! 🙂
