Alarms double in the app

Hi all,

In the last couple app updates I’ve noticed that whenever I set an alarm through the app, it always creates a “ghost” alarm which I am unable to delete or uncheck with the on/off button.

I’m on iPhone and when I uninstalled and logged out of the app it deleted them all but as soon as I set a new alarm after reinstalling and logging in it started happening again.

the “ghost” alarms are all default on and greyed out so I can’t even turn them off even if I turn off the actual alarm of the same time setting I’ve set up.

What’s the go??

Mine does this too! Sometimes exiting out of the app and reloading it will let me delete some of the ghost alarms, but I have this one at 8:00am that is grey and won’t go away no matter how many times I refresh. It’s taking up space in my alarms, since we can’t go past 8 on the inspire HR.

I just logged into the fitbit website and was able to turn on 8 total alarms in my inspire HR settings. Online, I can’t see the ghost alarms and can set up to 8 without a problem. In the app, I have my new 8 alarms set as well as my ghost 8:00 one, so it’s showing 9 alarms total — something the app hasn’t allowed before: I’ve only been able to go up to 7 alarms before trying this because of the weird ghost one.

I still can’t delete the ghost one, but I think if you try toggling your alarms on the actual website it should work. Hopefully with a new update this issue goes away.

Something I found on the forum from a couple of years ago.  It does not stop new alarms from doubling - that still needs a fix - but it does get rid of the ghost alarms in the app.

1. Log out of app

2. Close app

3. Shut iPhone down to a black screen

4. Restart iPhone

5. Turn off Bluetooth

6. Restart app and log in

7. Turn Bluetooth back on

This has worked for me twice this week.  Hope it helps.

If you had to do it twice, is it really working?  I'm finding this annoying and I'm noticing many others having the same issues.  Time to fix it.

I restarted my fitbit inspire 2, logged out of the fitbit app, restarted my iphone and I still saw the ghost alarms. Then as I logged into my community fitbit account to post this message, the ghost alarms suddenly disappeared. Maybe there's a huge delay? IDK, hopefully this issue doesn't keep coming back.

Yes. Really worked. Twice was due to a new set of alarms that doubled.  As stated, it doesn’t keep them from doubling, just removes ghost apps

Mine does it as well, so annoying-you would think that they would figure it out and fix it already
