App no longer allowing me to manually record exercise

For the last week the app won’t let me manually record my treadmill walks. (I usually delete the original data and then log the activity manually using the treadmill data). It adds it for a second and my steps/calories go up, then within seconds it goes straight back down again and the activity is not logged. This is so frustrating!

I have force close and then deleted the app but nothing works. It also no longer syncs with my gym app. Time to find a new brand I think!

This is happening to me too and pissing me off! Also the export of food and other data no longer has a “custom” option since moving to Google. Now only lets me export a giant “all data” file. Useless!

Very well may be time to dump FitBit!

I have this problem too. My Inspire 2 frequently stops recording mid-swim, so I want to change the time and distance to reflect what I actually swam. But while there is an edit function, it doesn't seem to save anything, and the display reverts to the wrong totals within a second or so. What is the point of having an edit function if it doesn't work? I have to say I don't expect to hear much about this as Google seems to have stopped providing any kind of support to Fitbit models, wanting everyone to switch to their own devices. And hoovering up all our data won't do them much good if it is wrong!

It’s such a shame as it all worked so well before. No one has replied but I’ve had a comment about looking at other brands deleted!

Same problem since 4th september. Also some of my exercise options have gone awol. No longer sees GYM or RPM. Have re-installed app with no luck. would be nice to know what has happened and whether it is time to move on. Have been very happy with my FITBITs and even got my 7th Anniversary badge today. Do not need all the "bells & whistles" of other brnds or devices, Inspire 2 met all my needs.

 Also noticed that my sleep duration has not worked since 4th either. Just been out for a long walk and now notice that the dashboard no longer shows any of my walks since 2nd? Steps are still recording. Another thing I noticed is that in the food area i show calories out in advance, ie it shows 1.4k for tomorrow. Something seems to have gone drastically wrong with Fitbit?

Just found on another thread that since beginning of September the android app has a problem with synching etc. It is being worked on. Oh well at least I now know. I always wonder why they do not post something to the website or app when they know they have "introduced" an error.
