Hello to the community from a noob!
I have recently purchased an Inspire HR and I'm still getting to know the finer details, but I've noticed a few things that seem a little strange to me. Firstly, on my bike rides, the Average Heart Rate always shows as 124bpm, even though the Max Heart Rate varies and the graph of the ride in the app appears to correspond correctly with my effort around the ride i.e. on gradients or rests etc. Is this Average Heart Rate reading 'normal?'
Secondly, and apologies for including two questions in one post, but the tracked mileage is slightly 'off' as well. For example, a short loop I tried today had my cycle computer returning 11.8 miles, a GPS app in the phone returning 11.72 miles, an accurately plotted route on OS maps (bikehike.co.uk) showing 11.78 miles, yet my Inspire HR says I've completed only 10.32 miles. All apps and Fitbit started and stopped at exactly the same time and position. Any comments, anyone?
Cheers - John

@JohnRoberts666 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your heart rate reading and distance detection. If you beleive that the heart rate isn't being properly displayed start by logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. I also suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
Regarding the distance detection, your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this. If you use your phone's GPS then you may need to improve your apps GPS signal link. You can try the following:

Hi, and many thanks for the reply. I tried the suggestions and have come up with the following. I believe the heart rate is being displayed correctly on the watch and also when I am looking at the heart rate graph over the length of my ride it seems to correspond to the exertion I put in, but the app always seems to return an average of 124bpm over the course of the ride, no matter how the ride varies (in distance, effort etc). The maximum heart rate does vary though. Perhaps it's simply a coincidence?
The mileage tracking I only use for my bike rides, but this does still seem to vary more than I expect. I tried riding without using any other GPS apps in my phone, but the mileage covered was still not correct. I have included a couple of screenshots below, which show maps of two identical rides one week apart, this illustrates the issue. There appear to be three mileage readings: 6.90 miles, 7.49 miles and 8.72 miles (I'm not sure what this last mileage reading refers to). The most accurate data I can find for the ride shows the distance as 7.45 miles. Unfortunately it's going to be a couple of weeks before the weather clears up enough to try further rides on the same route, or other rides for comparison.
