Awake time doesn't count towards sleep totals

The Fitbit app counted my sleep wrong. It said I slept from 10:06 pm to 7:41 am and I was 55 min restless. It counted the 55 min restless as time I was spent awake, but I was asleep. So it said I slept 8 hr 40 min even though I slept 9 hr 35 min, and there is no way to change this in the Fitbit app. This is very frustrating because my goal is 9 hours and I reached my goal but that's not what it says. Anyone have any ideas? (I have an Inspire BTW).

@Gabe222 Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Awake time not being counted as part of your sleep totals. As the help article states the following:

"WHY DO I SEE AWAKE MINUTES?

It’s normal to see awake minutes in your sleep stages; studies have shown a typical adult could wake up briefly between 10-30 times per night (source). You may not remember waking up since you likely fell right back to sleep, especially if you were awake for less than 2-3 minutes at a time. If you wake up in the morning feeling like you had a restless night, you may notice more awake minutes in your sleep stages as compared to other nights.

If you previously tracked sleep with Fitbit, your log included the time spent awake, restless, and asleep. We’ve fine-tuned the mechanism we use to track sleep in order to estimate your sleep stages by including heart rate and other data. As a result, we’ve combined the time you spend awake and restless into total awake minutes to give you a better sense of your sleep cycles.

You may notice more awake minutes in sleep stages than in your previous sleep data due to this change. If you're concerned about meeting your Fitbit goals, you can edit your sleep goal to make sure you still hit it. For instructions, see How do I track my sleep?

Note that sleep stages aren't affected by the sleep sensitivity setting on your device. For more information, see How do I track my sleep?"

If you wish for this to not affect your total sleep then you could share your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes.
