Battery life for HR Inspire.

Hi,

I bought a HR Inspire in Dec 30 2019 and the battery life was lasting around 6-7 days; however, for the past week the battery is draining extremely fast.  I charged it on Sunday when I noticed that the Fitbit had died, and then had to recharge again last night (Thursday). Since it hadn't registered any steps for Thursday, it had to die on Wednesday at some point for a total of just of 3 days.  The charge was completed around 7 pm and when I woke 12 hrs later, the charge was down to 64%.  I know that the battery life will decrease over time; however, is this surge normal for a fitbit that is less than a year old.

Thanks.

The same thing just happened to me! When I woke up Thursday,  my fitbit still showed end of Wednesday steps and still had Wednesday date.  Battery was down to 8%. I rebooted and I was able to fix the date and reset for Thursday but battery is draining fast.  Only lasts hours. It literally went from lasting days to hours.  Could it be a system error doing this?

I chatted in a help session and asked if the software had been update - no response so thinking no but they are having me recharge to 100 so they take a look at it.  At 1 pm, it was down to 47% which means it is only a 24 hr charge on average.

I did the same thing. I chatted with customer service and they want me to
charge fully and then drain fully. Mine was fully charged at 815 this
morning and it's already at 5%. I'm thinking I may have to use the
warranty option but that's going to take forever!

That's exactly what they told me.  Fully Charge (left it charging for almost 5 hrs) and then let it drain. Once that happens, I'm to let them know and give my case number. I called around 1pm.

I find it strange that such a similar thing happened to both of our fitbits
during the same time period. Maybe it's a system thing.

If it was a recent software upgrade to the HR Inspire, I believe that there should be more people reporting; or if they are, they are not members of the community.   At this point, I'm leaning towards the fact its just ours.  I charged last night, laid it on the table and waiting till it drains. I'll txt them back when it gets down to 0 (70% at the 12 hr mark with no activity)

My rep said to sync 5 to 6 times a day before the battery depletes. I
believe you have to be wearing it to sync. No?

I don't believe that you do.  As long as its near the phone or device where you loaded the app.   I just did a search on Inspire HR Battery Drain and does seem like several others having the same issue but theirs's started about a month ago. Not really sure why synching it multiple times a day would save battery life tho.

Every time you sync they can see what percentage your battery is at throughout the day.  They were able to see that my battery was not normal.  They are sending me a new one for free.  You can choose the exact one you have for free or 50% off a different new one.

Thanks -  I chatted late today and the same, they are replacing mine also.  I was not offered a different version for 50% off.  Glad we were both under warranty 🙂
