Battery no longer holds a charge. I have cleaned, restarted and more. Inspire HR is 6 months old.

I received my Inspire HR fitbit for Christmas 2019. My device is 7 months old and I have loved it, until last week, when the battery no longer holds a charge. I have restarted device, charged to 100% each time, and then the charge holds for 1 hour. This has been happening the past few days. I want to know if this is battery, can I replace battery instead of buying new. I am reluctant to buy fitbit if the life of device is 6 months or less.

Hi... I’ve had exactly the same problem... I received a replacement as my battery dies and wouldn’t charge up again despite trying to reset or using different charger... as under warranty they supplied a new device... this wouldn’t complete the set up and kept crashing so they sent me another. I set this up but have found I have the same problem as you.. it will charge to 100% but drops all charge within 24 hrs... I contacted customer support to complain again today and told them I’d tried resetting etc.. all the fixes they suggest and that there is clearly a problem with the Inspire HR as my 3rd in 7 months and they are now sending me out a 4th one... don’t hesitate to get on to Fitbit Support Customer Services whilst you still have it under warranty 👍🏻

I got my new Inspire HR and am setting it up but it fails each time. Do I or how do I remove the old one from account and add new one or do I have to create a whole new account - login and password. Since you've been through this a few times, I figure you're the expert. Thanks

Hi

On the phone app itself go to the Inspire HR device & you need to select forget this device... I would then clear any cookies on your phone and start again the process of adding a new one... if it doesn’t work get onto customer support and tell them you’ve tried all the fixes on the forum etc and get a replacement before your warranty expires... I’ve just had the third replacement in as many weeks due to problems with this model.. it finally seems resolved.. good luck 👍🏻

Thank you and it worked!  I'm up and running again with my 2nd Inspire HR. I sweat a lot and wonder if the sweat erodes the 3 battery dots or icons. I noticed on my previous device that 2 of those, the copper wore off.
