Does anyone know if you can get bedtime reminders on the actual device? Or is it just notifications through the app on your phone?

Only certain fitbits can get the reminder (as well as via the app) via the fitbit notifications. At the moment this is limited to the Charge 3, Ionic and Versa - not the Inspire HR I'm afraid. See: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1314
