Bluetooth can’t find new Fitbit Inspire HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my new Fitbit Inspire HR upgrading from an Alta and I’m having trouble getting set up. My phone can’t seem to locate my new Fitbit. I have tried turning off my Bluetooth and turning it back on again, restarting my phone, closing the app, even deleting and reinstalling the app, but nothing works. I’ve read the troubleshooting tips.  I even tried to see if maybe it was my phone’s Bluetooth acting funny and that’s not it. I was successfully able to sync wireless earbuds and my old Alta. For the record, I did disconnect my old Alta and put it away in case that might somehow interfere... So why can’t I sync my Inspire HR? It’s on, charged, and has the message go to Fitbit.com/setup. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for any help!

@CLRandom A warm welcome to our Community!

Let me help you setting up your Inspire HR and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. The link is handled by the Fitbit app so you don't need to go to the bluetooth settings area for this. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your help. I did everything you suggested and did it again with tech support. It turns out it was just a case of a malfunctioning device. Everyone was so helpful and I’ll be getting a replacement device soon. I’m very grateful for all the advice and help.
