I bought my daughter a Fitbit for her birthday. We took it out of the package and have tried to charge it, and it won’t do anything. It has charged for short periods of time as well as overnight. I’ve tried charging it from a usb charger plugged into my wall as well as directly into my computer. I have cleaned the connection with alcohol and have tried holding the button down anywhere from 5 sec. to 30 sec. How do I get this to work?

Hi @MScam seems you've done what you could to get it going. I'd suggest a call to customer support at (877)623-4997 between the hours of 4am-8pm PST Mon-Fri, and 6am-5pm PST on weekends, if you're in the USA.
