Brightness is a real issue. Can never see the time outside. Dim screen is off, do not disturb off and I have tried a few different faces.
is this really the best this can do?

I completely agree!! What is the point of a watch if you can’t see the time even.

This is mu second Fitbit. When it dies, I will not replace it due to the inability to see the clock face when outdoors. This seems like a problem others are having and y’all have no answer.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Mia2014.
Thanks for confirming that you've been having a similar experience with your Inspire 2.
Could you please provide a few more details? Let me know if you're only having trouble to see the display when you're outdoors or if it's happening all the time. In the meantime, please try the following
I'll be around.

How do I change the brightness. Cannot see it outside

Limitation of the dot matrix styled display really and subjective as heck.
Finite details like small Arial font styles will be lost in the bright sun (especially the gray tones).
Best work around I've come up with is choosing the "Pixels" watch face from the Inspire 2's watch gallery.
I'm sure the engineers could make it brighter to see in the sun but it would most certainly come at the cost of screen/battery life being cut in half.
There are bigger brighter trackers out there but I think the Inspire line has it's niche with not having to be charged every 2-3 days.
Atleast that's my take on it.
Cheers,

Hi everyone, and welcome to the new users in the Community.
Thank you for your inquiries and for taking the time to share all your feedback.
If you haven't done so already, I would recommend that you also vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers: Brightness control Inspire 2.
This is always helpful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
Thanks again for all the comments and feedback that you've provided so far.

I agree. It's impossible to see.

Yes. I’ve done those things. Those are the settings. It’s always been this way.
My spouse has a regular Inspire and it’s far brighter and easier to read. Dramatically so. Sad to see the Inspire 2 is worse in this regard.
