Hi there! I just purchased the new FitBit InspireHR (and I love it), but I am noticing a discrepancy between the calories burned on the watch itself versus what my app is telling me after it's synced. Just before midnight this evening, my watch said I had burned around 2,500 calories, but when I synced my watch the app said I had burned 3,193 calories! I wish I had taken a picture of those two readings, as that is a pretty large gap in information. I did however get some snapshots about an hour later, and even after only about 60 minutes there is a pretty large discrepancy. It would seem that the watch is giving me an accurate reading, whereas the app is inflating my results somehow. I had my old fitbit for a little over a year before I replaced it with the InspireHR the other day, but I removed the old one from the app interface yesterday. I have logged out of the app, and it is updated to the latest version (2.90). I have synced many times, but the numbers never match. Can you please let me know what may be wrong? (The two photos were taken within milliseconds of each other)

Same for me. Currently sitting at 1311 calories on my wrist and 1831 in my app and on my desktop computer dashboard. Sync'd, restarted, etc. I don't care about the variance, I'd just like to know which measurement is more likely to be correct.

I have no idea why this is happening, but if you want to do some detective work, try looking at the daily calories burned chart on fitbit.com dashboard. It show calories burned all day in 15 minute intervals, and displays the numbers as you drag cursor along graph, if that's any help looking for a big jump or drop or to try to figure which is correct.

Hi folks. Just checking in here.
Thanks again for taking the time to report on these calorie discrepancies. I just wanted to confirm that this feedback has been forwarded to our team and we are currently looking into what might be the root cause of this problem.
I will be sure to keep you all updated as more information becomes available. Feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions in the meantime.

Thanks. I think I fixed it: I found a post about a discrepancy between a Charge HR and Inspire HR, which was solved by restarting the Inspire 3 times in a row: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-Inspire-HR/Charge-hr2-calorie-burned-is-a-lot-different-to-i...
Note that the restart protocol linked wasn't quite right, I had to hold the button down while connected to the charger for 5 seconds, until a smiley face appeared. It was a little finicky, I did 5 or 6 five second holds and got 3 smiley faces. This was about 45 minutes ago, and so far my device and app are exactly the same. I'll post again if the data agreement doesn't stick.
My Inspire HR is very new, still on it's first charge, and my current theory is that my fitbit had't pulled my height/weight from my app. This would make sense: I weigh 197lbs, so if the fitbit was going off some average weight - likely to be lower than my actual weight - it would explain why the fitbit showed a lower number than my app, given that the app would be calculating based on my actual height/weight.

Hi,
After following all instructions I am still finding my completed exercise on the watch face records differently to what's showing on my app. This is becoming incredibly annoying and I'm starting to wish I'd gone for the Garmin instead! Please help rectify this problem!
Thanks
