Hi, so i got my fitbit in July 2019. Its the first time i have been using it. The calorie tracker was first set at 500 cal but over the past month it is set to 1000 cal and i do not know how to reset it to 0, if it even can be. Also as i switched my email for security, the calorie has been showing rapid calories burned with even a simple movement. Help please!

@Farzeen  Your calorie burn will reset to zero at midnight everyday. The calorie burn being displayed includes the calories you burn from being active + BMR (basal metabolic rate) - the calories you burn at rest to maintain body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and digestion. This accounts for a big percentage of calories you burn in a day (for me it is about 50%) and is estimated based on the data you entered (gender, age, height, and weight).

I understand that calories burned include the activities of the rest of the day other than workout even when ypu dont wear it. But initially before wearing it for workout  the tracker would read 500 calories and now its 1071 cals. Moreover, now even for the slightest movement, it shows rapid calorie burn, after wearing it. I think there is something wrong with it. I tried resetting but the problem still exists. What shall i do next?
