Calories burned doesn't seem accurate?

I just got my Inspire yesterday and from the minute I set it up out of the box it said 0 steps/830 calories burned. I thought it was odd but decided to give it a day. I laid it on the table and made sure at midnight everything reset to 0. I woke up this morning and checked it and already it says 0 steps but 524 calories burned. All of my height/weight settings are correct and I've tried restarting it.

Is it supposed to have a high calories burned count? Or am I missing something?

Thank you

That is your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calorie burn, that you are always burning just by being alive.  They are always credited, even when you are not wearing the tracker.

See How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
