Calories fewer for more steps

Hi,

Today I walked 16,567 steps, including a 5k walk at an average pace of 14’14”, and my Inspire HR says I burned 1,973 calories for the day.  Yesterday I only walked 9,482 steps, yet it says I burned 1,938 calories.  Something isn’t right here!  Any ideas or reasons for this discrepancy?

Thanks!

Hi, @Jlee1632! What did your heart rate look like for the day? That's the real metric Fitbit uses to calculate your calorie burn.

Thanks, MakMak.  It was definitely lower on Tuesday versus Monday. That explains it.
