Calories varying when syncing with Qantas Wellbeing App + MyFitnessPal

Hi, I recently registered my Fitbit HR on the Fitbit Tracker app, and linked it to MyFitnessPal and also the Qantas Wellbeing app. I'm not understanding how the calorie adjustments work. If I manually enter exercises on MFP, it gives me a calorie deficit earned through the calories burned during that exercise - all good. But if I try to sync the Fitbit Tracker with MFP, it tells me I've burned less calories than I have (like a 200 calorie variation!). I read on another thread that if you have two 3rd party apps linked to Fitbit it can confuse the calculations. Could this be the issue? Thanks from a newbie.

@jojosan20 Welcome to the Community.

Let me help you with your caloric burn varying. Where are you viewing this variation (on the Fitbit app or on the other apps)? Could you share a screenshot of what you are seeing on your Fitbit account? If the variation shows on the other apps then please reach out to their respective Support teams for more information. Regarding the Fitbit app, if the sync transfer exercises from other platforms to Fitbit these will be saved as manually logged activities which will affect the caloric burn calculation.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I found the whole thing really demotivating both from a product point of view and from an exercise/results point of view! I’ve just started checking my fitbit and entering the calories in MFP manually instead, so it still leaves me with the proper calorie deficit. Cheers.
