Can I carry FitBit Inspire HR in my pocket and accurately record steps?

I'd like to buy the Inspire HR, but I do not want to wear it as a watch. I have an actual watch that I like to wear, and even then, I remove it while I'm working (always bumps on my desk and keyboard). It seems like the Inspire HR can only be worn on the wrist, though. So, I'm curious, if I keep it in my pocket, will it still accurately records my steps? I'm not concerned about HR unless I'm on the elliptical, at which point I don't mind it being on my wrist.

Thanks!

Good questions, @Melis72 . Since you are not really interested in HR, it might be better for you to purchase the non-HR version. You can wear it with the watch band or keep it in a pocket. You can even order the clip to keep it more secure in a pocket or undergarment.

Thanks, but I am interested in heart rate, just not unless I'm working out. I don't care about it while I'm at work. So, I would prefer to get the Inspire HR.
