Can I merge two *sessions* of sleep to get one score?

If I sleep for 5 hours, then am up for an hour, and then sleep for another 3 hours, the fit bit tracks those as two sleep sessions. But really, it's one, with some not-sleeping in the middle. It makes more sense to me to combine them into one score/report. Is this possible?

Thanks for replying. Are you able to say why this is how Fitbit set it up? It seems that if you are sleeping in a pattern like I describe, merging makes more sense. Do you know why it was set up to treat those as two sleeps rather than one.

I run a company that builds data-driven Apps, so I’m curious about this naturally... and... I want to use my Fitbit, and this issue feels weirdly inaccurate.

@WendyB, are you able to respond to my follow-on question?

No I can not. Your best bet  is to contact support. Use help link at top of forum.

I do not work for Fitbit. Just a volunteer who helps when I can.
