Can I see a history of the Relax app sessions done?

Hello Fitbit friends,

I started to use the Relax app on the Inspire 2 device.

Can I see the history of these sessions in the Fitbit app?

I see other mindfulness sessions recorded from the Fitbit app but I don’t see any of the sessions from Relax app. Perhaps they are located somewhere else than in mindfulness ?

@ted2xusz It's nice to see you in the Fitbit Community. Thank you for getting in touch about this.

The Mindfulness tile in the Fitbit app includes mindfulness sessions and the Relax sessions that are done through the Fitbit tracker/watch, those can help you track and understand the effects of your mindfulness practice.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Hello,

Thank you for a quick answer. I really do hope the stats from Relax app will be available in Fitbit app very soon.

I am going to post this suggestion soon.

Meanwhile, can you please check the Fitbit guide here https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2077.htm ?

There is exactly the same question and the answer is Yes, surprisingly. Perhaps it works with other devices and not with Inspire 2 yet?

@ted2xusz Thank you for getting back. I apologize for the misunderstanding and I appreciate the help article you linked.

The sessions done through the Relax app will count in the Mindfulness tile too, they'll be shown as Guided breathing under "Your Journey" tile. Please confirm you're doing the following procedure to start and finish it to ensure they are tracked in the tile:

1. On Inspire 2, open the Relax app .
2. The 2-minute session is the first option. Swipe to choose the 5-minute session.
3. Tap the play icon to start the session and follow the on-screen instructions.

After the exercise, a summary appears that shows your alignment (how closely you followed the breathing prompt), your heart rate at the start and end of the session, and how many days you completed a guided breathing session this week.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for instructions.

1) Relax app opened on Inspire2

2) 5 minute breathing session started

3) followed the messages and finished successfully

4) On Inspire 2, I was able to see the summary: alignment, start-end heart rate, days completed

5) I clicked  the close icon and opened Fitbit app

6) Synchronized the device with the app successfully

7) Opened mindfulness tile and Your journey

8 ) I still don’t see the session just finished on the device. I can only see prior sessions which were started from the Fitbit app, like “gentle rain & peaceful music”

I confirm the same results as Ted. I've done a watch relax session every few days since I got my watch a couple of weeks ago. Having checked my journey history none are showing in the app. I did a test run today following the steps shown here - nothing apart from watch stats.

@ted2xusz @Tut132 Thank you for getting back. I appreciate that you followed the steps mentioned above.

Since the sessions done through the app aren't logging in the Mindfulness tile, please attach a picture of the session done on the Inspire 2 and the data you're getting in the Mindfulness tile. Also let me know the phone model and OS that you have.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hello

I have a Samsung S9+ running Android 10 and One UI 2.5

I completed a 5 min relax session at 7.46

It's not showing in the app, only my bedtime session is present

I've included images of the device and screenshots from my phone

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue, I complete a relax breathing session on my Inspire 2 and the summary screen shows my alignment and heart rate however it does not show on the mindfulness section of my Fitbit app.

I have read through all these forums and followed loads of steps (logging out and back in, reset Fitbit etc) but it still isn’t working. My Fitbit is up to date.

I was wondering if you had an update please?

@becca0710 Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried prior to posting.

I appreciate the report shared. At the moment, I don't have a time frame about when this is going to be fixed, your patience while this is resolved is appreciated.

Have a nice day.

Hello!

Any update on this?

I have now Fitbit Luxe and the problem is the same. None of the breathing sessions done from Luxe are visible in the App.

Hey all.

Here it is, 1/25/22, and we are all waiting for Fitbit to make the move to integrate Relax data into the "Mindfulness" tile on our app. Though the thread here doesn't outright explain this, I believe the most logical answer is that the Relax "app" we see on our actual Fitbit does not store/track any data that we can actually view on our Fitbit app on our smartphones. Therefore, I do not think any of our devices/accounts/apps are faulty.

It is my belief that the "apps" on the Fitibit --other than tracking activity, etc.-- do not communicate with the Fitbit app we use to monitor and track our progress/data.

I came across a similar thread where the Couch to 5k (C25K) third-party app I installed on my Versa does not automatically log a run if I use it; therefore, I am now using the C25K app on my smartphone while tracking my run on the watch as a typical "exercise" through the fitbit itself. Because of this, downloading the C25K app on the Fitbit was essentially... pointless.

While this is not a huge deal to me, I do wish that I could track my Relax sessions and see historical data. As someone who is actively attempting to lower RHR and increase HRV during sleep, I wish that I could dig as deep into my Relax data as I can for sleep and mindfulness, but can unfortunately NEVER find it again after completing the session and getting back to the home screen on my Versa. Maybe Fitbit can gift us with this nugget of insight in future app updates (and bring dark mode as an option for us iOS users who don't want to be blinded at 5am!) It truly is the little things, Fitbit!

Fitbit, this is a joke!? I have the Versa 2 and an iPhone12 pro and it doesn't sync my 'relax' breathing sessions to mindfulness or stress management. Get your **ahem** together and call the Fitbit tile the same name as what the phone app calls it AND enable it to sync for tracking. Or is it that there is no basis to the breath syncing activities available from the watch? I mean, every time I've done it my heart rate is elevated after the breathing session because I feel I have to breath faster to keep up with the syncing and not breath as fully out. Whatever is going on, you cannot be serious about wellness unless you are helping people 1/ undertake mindfulness sessions and 2/ enable them to track those sessions so along with exercise and sleep a full picture can be built.

I will be the first to admit that I didn’t read every post in this thread.  But I did read the lengthy linked Help article on managing stress.  There is a section that says that Relaxed Breathing sessions are added to your Mindfulness Journey in four devices only:  Sense, Sense 2, Versa 3, and Versa 4.

I believe the moderator is misinformed on this topic.

Right - thanks for maybe providing clarity. Yes I went to Fitbit Help for the Relax App and it says:

It makes no mention that this is only the case for certain models only. It's also not explicit in the Versa 2 'specs' that mindfulness tracking is available 'in app only' like they say for other items like glucose levels tracking.

@SarahJeanR   Here is the section that mentions the device specifics:

Sorry I couldn't add this to my post yesterday.  I had an internet outage and could only post from my mobile app.  I think this feature needs clarification.  A lot of clarification.
