Hi there!

I am looking at getting a fitbit but I want to use it while swimming in the ocean as I tend to quite a bit. Is it safe to use it in the ocean? I cannot find much online about it, only about fresh water and a depth of 50m, but I'm not sure if the salt of the ocean and other dirt will damage it severely.

Does anyone have any personal experience with it or have seen a reliable source that can give me an answer?

@sushil87 I have used my Sense in the ocean and in a chlorinated pool. My Sense has been fine and it has not caused any damage. I always rinse it off with fresh water and make sure it's dry after a dip in the ocean or pool. It's totally up to you and how comfortable you feel with it.

I just wore mine in the ocean. I just kicked around in shallow waters for about a half hour. It’s dead now.
