Can I use the manual exercise for swimming?

If I start recording swimming manually, I am unable to stop it when I finish because of the water lock. It continues into the shower and afterwards as swimming.  However, if I use the auto recognize function, it does not record the time for the first ten minutes. If I use the auto recognize auto recognize feature will it accurately stop recording right after I stop swimming?

I prefer using the manual feature, but water lock makes that impossible.

Can anyone help please?

Thank you,

Kemal

Hi, @Kguraydin , the auto tracking function (smart track) should record all of your swim session.  Even though you need to swim for ten minutes before the recording starts, the program is designed so that it “back counts” from when you first started, if that makes sense.

In that case you will need to turn on the water lock automatically just before you get in the pool and turn it off afterwards

You can’t use any of the functions requiring tapping or swiping when water lock is turned on, because the point of water lock is so that water hitting the device does not accidentally interfere with the chosen function.

You can also track your swim session using the exercise mode on your Fitbit.  Just swipe until you come to “exercise”, and swipe to “swim”.  As soon as you start a swim session the water lock is automatically turned on.  As soon as you get out of the pool, and before you shower, just turn off the water lock and then immediately end your swim session in the exercise app.

I hope this helps!
