Can inspire hr track steps in pocket?

Hi I'm a chef so I can't wear watches while working. My previous tracker couldn't track my steps when I put it in my pocket. So was wondering if this will work before buying.

Hi @Yft - I’ve used the Inspire, Versa, and several of the older Fitbit models in a side pocket and successfully counted steps. I also use an ankle strap with good success. Please keep in mind that if you purchase the Inspire HR, wearing it anywhere but on the wrist will skew your heart rate info. But if you purchase the (non-HR) Inspire, you can even purchase a clip to attach to a belt.

Hi @SunsetRunner thanks for replying!

I've seen some reviews that claimed that the Inspire is less accurate in step and calorie tracking compared to the Inspire HR. So I was thinking about getting the HR. Also, there are reviews that claim that the Inspire in removing the "clip on" function.😅😅

I exercise quite frequently outside work so I wanted the GPS function too. So I was really hoping that the HR will work when put in pocket.

@Yft - I’ve used various Fitbit HR devices in a side pocket or in an ankle strap. As I mentioned, this method skewed my HR stats but since steps are my main goal, it’s ok with me, but you can always turn HR off before slipping it in your pocket, then back on when placing it on your wrist again. It should be fine. If you decide to test this, just make sure you purchase it from a retailer that offers a good return policy.
